We checked out many CD-ROM book programs and found one with the features we wanted. When you open this CD-ROM, you'll see a cute bookcase. Click on a book cover you want and the book appears almost full screen. The pages appear on the screen just like a book. By clicking on the right page (or using your arrow key), it flips to the next page right in front of your eyes!

There are several special features of this CD-ROM. Pictures can be in color. Also, because of the master disc we keep here, any new or updated information can be added to the master at any time so that when you receive your CD-ROM, rest assured that it will be as up-to-date as can be.

The biggest feature, in my opinion, is that the CD-ROM is fully searchable. If you want to find something by date, or a specific keyword, enter it and the CD-ROM will find every occurrence of that word or word string in the book, beginning in the front and going toward the back. Just keep clicking until you find the entry you want.

The CD-ROM only works on PCs with Windows 98 and up (not with Windows 95). Sorry, it does not work on Macintosh programed computers. The CD-ROM is self starting. Operating instructions are on the CD-ROM back cover. Any questions? Please Email me before placing an order.

Buddy Holly - His Songs And Interviews (282 pages) The print version, published in 1995, is long out of print. The CD-ROM version is updated and contains over 90 pictures, many different from the print version. This contains all of the technical information pertaining to Buddy Holly’s songs. Look up a song title and it lists all the known versions, released or unreleased, and information pertaining to the song’s writer(s), who performed on each version, when and where it was recorded, and special notes and stories pertaining to the title. Also transcribed are all the known radio station promos and various interviews. A special section lists the known songs in which Buddy Holly plays guitar or sings but received no label credit as it was another artist’s song. There is a clickable index at the front so you may go directly to whichever song you want.

Buddy Holly & Crickets - Clovis Checks & Stubs Images (301 pages) This CD-ROM is basically images of the various checks, counter checks, and the check stub leger entries for the Buddy Holly and the Crickets checking account maintained in Clovis, New Mexico. From the original run of 213 checks, eight are not depicted, four that I believe are too personal, and four that were missing originally. Full page width images of the front and back of each check is presented in color, with one check to a page. The check stub leger has three entries per page with two pages depicted on one book page. As you can not search for information in an image, each page contains text for the check number, date, written to whom, and any notes either on the check or on the check stub so creative searching will be possible. There is no index as checks are presented in numerical and dated order (regular checks first, counter checks next, check stub leger entries last.)

Buddy Holly - Clovis Paper Items Images - Jun-Dec 1957 (267 pages) This CD-ROM consists of images of various paper items (invoices, hotel bills, airline tickets, and the like) that were kept at one time in Clovis. Duplicates, carbon copies, and very personal receipts (doctor etc.) have not been included, as well as anything pertaining to a legal nature. This set of selected images covers the period between June and December 1957.

Buddy Holly - Clovis Paper Items Images - Jul-Dec 1958 (358 pages) Same as above except covers period from July to December 1958.
