They are all in NTSC format and recorded in the best quality available considering the source material. Some came from 1st generation master tapes, some from television. All are quite watchable as to quality. These are being offered as most are extremely hard to find today or are not available anywhere else at this time.

Due to the enormous increase in postal rates, we have come up with a way to keep shipping as low as possible. Your DVDs will be shipped in white envelopes, along with the loose insert card, and shipped in a cardboard mailer, so YOU may put your DVDs and inserts in your own jewel cases.

"American Hot Wax" (1978 - Motion picture loosely pertaining to Alan Freed.) 91 minutes.

"Big Beat Legends (Rock & Roll On Television)" (1987) Produced by Renaissance Home Theater, it contains vintage clips of Bill Haley, Frankie Lymon/Teenagers, Fats Domino, Platters, news clips of payola scandal with Freed and Clark, Bobby Darin, Jerry Lee Lewis, Diamonds, "new idols", Johnny Otis, Champs, Jackie Wilson, Paul Anka, Exciters, Dion, Buddy Knox, Rays, Big Joe Turner,etc. many of the clips are complete! 59 Minutes.

Bo Didley - "I Don't Sound Like Nobody" (1990) This concert took place in Stockholm, Sweden and first aired in the U.S. on A&E Diamond Showcase. 50 minutes.

Bobby Vee "The Idol"(1961) This is an early documentary featuring Bobby Vee depicting his beginnings and early career. Lots of vintage footage including his first band, The Shadows. Very hard to find. (NOTE: The crash footage seen in this is NOT the February 3, 1959 crash.) 52 minutes.

Buddy Holly - "The Final Day" - (UK - 1999 - explored the last day of Buddy Holly. Highlight is the first known interview with Jerry Dwyer). 50 minutes.

Chuck Berry - "Live At The Roxy" (1982) Filmed at the Roxy Theater in Los Angeles. Jim Horn is on saxophone. Guests are Tina Turner and Ingrid Berry (one song each). First aired on A&E Diamond Showcase in 1990. 48 Minutes.

Cool Cats:(1983) This UK documentary traces the 1950's and 1960's there and here. Some good clips and a chance to see some of the UK artists. 77 minutes.

Crickets In Sweden: The Crickets performing in Stockholm in 1989, aired on television as "My Love Is Bigger Than A Cadillac". Jerry, Joe, Gordon Payne, Bobby Vee and Paul McCartney seen in several vignettes. Jerry sings "Real Wild Child". BONUS: The Crickets video for their song "Tee Shirt". 50 minutes total.

Crossroads (1986) A movie loosely based on finding a "lost song" by Delta blues giant Robert Johnson. Joe Seneca as the old bluesman is extremely good. Good Delta blues music. 100 minutes.

"Dead Famous - Buddy Holly" (2005) This UK television series deals with psychics and non-believers trying to "communicate" in some way with Buddy Holly. They visit Lubbock, the Surf Ballroom and the crash site. Totally weird but it has statements from Jack Neal, Bill Griggs and Travis Holley. 45 minutes.

Del Shannon "Live In Australia" (1989 - A complete Del Shannon concert at Castle Hill, Australia. He's in good voice and the camera work is very good.) 58 minutes.

Fats Domino "Blueberry Hill" (1986) This is a good program with Fats in concert. 45 minutes.

Heroes of Rock "n" Roll (1979) This is a superb documentary with many old clips. 98 minutes.

"Hey Let's Twist" (1961) Movie stars Joey Dee, Teddy Randazzo, Jo Ann Campbell. A really awful movie, but it does feature Jo Ann Campbell singing a song. 80 minutes.

"History's Lost & Found" (1999 - This History Channel Episode #80 features several segments, the first being about Buddy's glasses. Interviewed are Connie Gibbons [Buddy Holly Museum] and Bill Griggs.) 48 minutes.

Jerry Lee Lewis "Portrait Of A Legend" (1977) This TV series features Jerry Lee talking about his life, with some short clips. The host is James Darren. 22 minutes. BONUS: About 13 minutes of early television commercials.

"Just For Fun" (1963-UK) This UK movie has a terrible plot and acting but you do get to see The Crickets, Bobby Vee, Freddy Cannon, Johnny Tillotson, Dusty Springfield, among others, as they looked and performed in 1963. 81 minutes.

Les Paul - He Changed The Music (1988) This is a Cinemax concert special that also includes Waylon Jennings, The Stray Cats, Eddie Van Halen and BB King, among others. 60 minutes.

Les Paul - The Wizard OF Waukesha (1984) A superb documentary on this gifted guitarist that first aired on the Nightflight television program. 50 minutes.

"Mysteries and Scandals - Buddy Holly" (1998) & "Tales Of Rock & Roll - Peggy Sue" (UK-1993 - Also features Donna Ludwig) 2 different programs. 50 minutes total.

"Nashville Rebel" This rare 1966 movie stars Waylon Jennings. 91 minutes.

Nostalgia Television - "Special Report" (1990 - about the Buddy Holly play opening in New York) & "Where Did The Music Come From?" (1991 Nostalgia comes to Lubbock and Clovis in search of the music - with Vi Petty, Jack Neal and Bill Griggs) 2 programs, 46 minutes total.

Phil Spector - Rockin' & Rollin' With (1983)  This is the story of someone "searching" for Phil Spector.  They don't know him but tell his story with lots of good clips and interviews including Liber & Stoller, Ahmet Ertegun, Gold Star Studio, Lester Sill, Darlene Love, Bumps Blackwell, Sonny Bono, the Ramones, Ronnie Spector, and they play the infamous song "The Screw" under the closing credits. 57 minutes

"Rave On"  (UK - 1999- Host Owen Money comes to Lubbock and Clovis for a Buddy Holly special) & "Cool Jerk" (UK -1998- Owen Money chases after the group sound in New York) 2 BBC Wales programs with Owen Money - 58 minutes total

"Reminiscing - Buddy Holly" (1979 - produced by Iowa PBS.  "Second generation quality but completely watchable) 56 minutes

"Rock & Roll - The Early Days" (1984 - The first clip you see is of Gale Storm and the last is of Fabian.  This excellent program tells the story of rock 'n roll and how it evolved from pop must [Gale Storm], who the big artists were, what happened at the end, and how it went back to pop music [Fabian]). 59 minutes

Shake Rattle & Roll  (1999)  This excellent made-for-TV movie is long and in two parts each DVD being 85 minutes long for a movie total of 170 minutes.  Two girls, one black and one white, come to Missouri form Guam and show a country band what real rock 'n roll is.  The band, the Heartaches, become one of the biggest bands in the nation.   They do everything right in this movie, proper labels on records played, proper chronology is followed, and you have to see the fellow playing Fats Domino.  I'll bet you look twice!  Movie takes you from the 1950s to the civil rights movement of the 1960s when all the trouble (music and non-music) begin.  NOTE:  Two DVDs

"Sweet Beat" (UK -1957 - This British motion picture has a terrible story but features performances by Billy Myles "The Joker", The Mello Kings" "Tonight , and the Five Satins "In The Still of the Night", among others.) 60 minutes

VH1 -Behind The Music:  "The Day The Music Died" (1999 - Excellent documentary of Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, Richie Valens)  72 minutes

"When The Music's Over"(1983)  This HBO special featured eleven artists who are no longer with us:  Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, Sam Cooke, Mama Cass, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Otis Redding, Jim Croce, Elvis Presley, John Lennon.  This contains the famous Sam Cooke/Jackie Wilson clip.  (Please note:  This was recorded on early VCR, there is some interference but nothing serious) 56 minutes
