BASE CD-ROM:
More than one book can be put onto a CD-ROM, thus, you buy a
"base CD-ROM" that contains that contains the operating software
for the Flipbook, any free books and the shipping to get it to
you. Each CD-ROM is then customized for you. You then choose the
books you want and add the price to the base price for the total
amount due. The postpaid price for a base CD-ROM is:
US and Canada - $5.00
Europe, Asia, South

THEN chose the

price to you.
With each CD-ROM book order, You'll also receive two free books.
The first is Bill Griggs and
Friends, an all-photo book witrh pictures of Bill
with various artists. Bill thought you would be interested in
seeing these and didn't feel right in charging for them. Some
are in black & white, but most are in color. All are fairly
large images, one to a page featuring artists like Del Shannon,
Bo Didley, Sam Phillips,Carl Perkins, etc....
The second is an Illustrated Sales
List. Currently over 200 pages, it lists in detail
most of the items I have available for sale, including signed
items, books, posters, etc., all with photos of the item so you
can see what you are buying.
BUDDY HOLLY - HIS SONGS
AND INTERVIEWS
Print version published in 1995 and long out of print, the
CD-ROM version is 282 pages with over 90 pictures. The book
contains all of the technical information pertaining to his
songs. Look up a song title and it lists all known versions
(released or unreleased) and information relating to the song's
writer, who performed on each version, when and where it was
recorded and special notes and stories pertaining to the title.
Also, transcriptions of all the known radio station promos and
various interviews. A special section on all the songs on which
Buddy played guitar and/or sings but received no label credit as
it was another artist's song. There is a clickable index at the
front of the book so you can go directly to the chapter you
want.
BUDDY HOLLY & CRICKETS -
CLOVIS CHECKS & STUBS IMAGES
This 301 page CD-ROM is basically images ofthe various checks,
counter checks and the check stub ledger entries for the Buddy
Holly and The Crickets checking account maintained in Clovis,
New Mexico. From the original run of 213 checks, eight are not
depicted, four as I belive are too personaland four that were
missing originally. Full page width images of the front and back
of each check are presented in color with one check to a page.
The check stub ledger has three entries per page with with two
pages depicted on one book page. Since you cannot search for an
image, each page contains text with the check number, date,
written to whom and any notes either on the check or the stub so
creative searching is possible. There is no index since the
checks are presented in numerical and dated order [regular
checks first, counter checks next and check stub ledger entries
last].
BUDDY HOLLY - CLOVIS PAPER
ITEMS IMAGES - June - December 1957
This CD-ROM consists of images of various paper items (invoices,
hotel bills, airline tickets aand the like that were kept at one
time in Clovis). This set of selected images covers the period
between June and december 1957 (267 pages).
BUDDY HOLLY - CLOVIS PAPER
ITEMS IMAGES January - June 1958
Same as above covering January - June 1958 (317
pages).
INDEX TO REMINISCING AND
ROCKIN' 50s MAGAZINES
This is two seperate books that count as ONE. It lists the 45
issues of Reminiscing and the 72 issues of Rockin' 50s one by
one, and details the articles, interviews and other important
items in each issue. All magazine covers are depicted in full
page format.
In order to read these discs, you must have ADOBE READER
installed on your computer. If you don't already, you can
download a free version at www.adobe.com.
With Adobe Reader, you can see the pages (and photos) in their
regular size, make them bigger or smaller, and with horizontal
pages, turn them so they can be read. (All pages are put in as a
vertical). You can also print the entire file or a single page.
If you blow up a portion of a page, you can print just that
portion. There are a lot of functions once you become familiar
with it. NOTE: Some pages may be slightly crooked, but they are
very readable. Some pages from old files may be "dirty" looking
with black specks, etc. This is how the original page looked and
can't be corrected.
Bill took pride in publishing lots of photos, especially some
that were being published for the first time. As a rule, photos
turn our rather badly on an adobe prepared disc. All photos on
these discs are scanned at high resolution for optimum quality.
MOST of our Adobe files are searchable using the optical
recognition process. Handwriting, writing on photos is not
searchable, and sometimes the process misses a word completely.
Each issue was originally copyrighted by Bill and a 2008
copyright is on the this complete digital version. It is
registered on Ebay's VERO program.
NOTE: To save on shipping charges, our Adobe discs are mailed in
a white envelope along with the insert. It is up to YOU to put
it in a jewel case.
If you have any questions about our Adobe or Flipbook disck,
please e-mail Sharon at
bnk200@suddenlink.net.
